2010 Events

The 2010 BFP Annual Event took place at the Open Learning Centre on
The event was used to gather information which is useful as the starting point for agreeing what the key issues are for
The event was attended by 75 delegates, and was facilitated by Professor Richard Tomlins. Storytelling was also used to help people look at things from the viewpoint of other people. Professional storyteller Sharon Jacksties started several stories that have morals or lessons and left the delegates to finish them by completing the tasks of each workshop.
Each table was given a 'character' that represents a Bracknell Forest resident and was charged with making decisions about what things are important for their character, and the character’s friends and family. This included aspects of life including health, education, transport, housing, employment and community involvement.
The priorities the tables came up with were then prioritised further and shortlisted until we finally had a Top 5 that were seen as the most important issues for us to focus on.
